June 2012 Top Rated Sunscreen – Review and Giveaway

Hi friends, today I am pleased to be reviewing a product that was just rated top sunscreen in June 2012 Consumer Reports, (a link to this report can be found on their website, the link is in the next paragraph) ! This sunscreen was so exciting to try, I couldn’t wait to receive it and lucky for me it was received in a very timely manner.

Not only did I receive my package very fast, but it arrived with a rarity, the package came without leaking all over, messing up the packaging it was sent in. This is rarely seen here at my altitude in Colorado, as a matter of fact with companies I forgive this common occurrence, although it does mean that the product usually has a very little bit remaining for me to test out & review. The high elevation here tends to make the air in products expand and depending upon the packaging, for instance bags either expand or pop and tubes, like this sunscreen came in tend to leak all over through the cap. Nice that this didn’t follow what most companies products do to me. lol

I was still worried that since this sunscreen, All Terrain ‘s “AquaSport” in SPF 30, would be greasy and shiny on my skin like all other sunscreens that are very water and sweat resistant. Now I still couldn’t wait to apply the sunscreen to my skin, as I am so sick of name brand and the generic sunscreens that either tear up my eyes or look shiny on my skin and even cause breakouts.

Joan & I, with our Lupus SLE, should be wearing sunscreen each and every day and frankly all day & evening long too, so I go through sunscreens and should have bought some stock in companies (if only I could find a product that I could get behind 100%) lol All day long?, you may ask… yup, did you know that the new light bulbs are like the florescent ones and can hurt you and your skin just like the sun? And if you have lupus sle just sitting with those light bulbs on and your skin unprotected, well you could become very very sick. This is one thing that our Government didn’t consider when the made the mandatory change to the “energy efficient” light bulbs, there are people that couldn’t/shouldn’t be exposed to them.

Anyway I tried this product and not only did my skin not look oily or greasy, my skin felt moisturized and baby soft! Wow! I still can’t believe it, and now I am trying to use up the old junk that I have at home and wear this wonderful product when I go out of the house… the AquaSport didn’t break out my skin either! Now to get rid of the old junk ASAP and keep washing my face about 4 times a day to keep myself from breaking out, until I am all out of the old stuff that has caused so much embarrassment over the years. I found myself a new sunscreen that I will remember for the rest of my life and be buying as frequently as this poor person, (with both husband and I on Social Security Disability,) can afford.
